Far and Away, however, has captivating and flawless music from the wonderful John Williams himself (the song in the ending credits "Book of Days" was pretty decent) and also has some astounding action scenes including a very creative one revolving the 1893 Land Run that has horses running throughout the plain-lands. People exploit both Shannon and Joseph, and Shannon gets harassed by her boss. If fans are interested in Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, then this is for you, but only if you studied the historical event in Geography.

The only thing I really liked was the core situation of the two (running away to an 'unknown' land) and Cruise. Shannon is fated to be a "modern" woman.
