Since 1998, Associated Counselors of Tidewater has provided psychotherapy services to children, adults, couples, and families in the Hampton Roads area. We have offices in Virginia Beach and Newport News. We are currently seeking to fill positions for licensed therapist (LPC or LCSW) to join our busy Virginia Beach practice (Pembroke area). Professional and friendly is a must.
Candidates interested do not start out full-time as the therapists must build a caseload (usually 2 – 3 months to get to a full-time status).
Therapists specializing with children will be given higher priority. However, A.C.T. provides services to all psychotherapy populations and mental health issues to include, but not limited to, substance abuse, couples, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma.
Therapists that are currently credentialed with insurance companies is preferred. We will provide hands-on assistance to interested therapists to become credentialed with insurance companies if needed.
This position is considered an “employee” position versus the more traditional independent contractor. The schedule is flexible and based on your availabilities. Therapist pay is based on service funds collected. The hourly billable rate averages approximately $80 – $95 per hour. Therapists receive a highly competitive % of the collections. The position has a bonus structure in place and we now are able to offer a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees which is non-traditional in private practice.
